  • What are the types of payment options available?

    We support the following payment methods namely:
    • Credit and Debit Card (Mastercard, Visa, UnionPay),

  • Can I renew my road tax if I have outstanding traffic summonses?

    During the renewal process, the JPJ online service will check any outstanding summons and blacklist records at both JPJ and PDRM's database systems. In order to proceed with renewal, you’ll need to settle the payments for all your outstanding traffic offences on record.
  • How will I receive my car e-Policy/e-Cover Note after I have completed my payment?

    You should receive your e-Policy/e-Cover Note within 1 business day. Timing may vary slightly based on insurer and location.
  • How will I receive my road tax after I have completed my payment?

    We will deliver your road tax to your registered street address (estimated delivery timeframe: 2-3 working days for Peninsular Malaysia and within 5 working days for Sabah & Sarawak).
  • What are the types of charges involved in online road tax renewal?

    The charges involved are road tax charges and a flat RM15 delivery charge. PolicyStreet will do all the necessary renewal provided you have no outstanding summons or any blacklist record.
  • Where can I view my payment transaction?

    Your payment transaction will be sent to your email after your renewal is completed.
  • Will I get a receipt upon payment?

    Yes. Every successful transaction will be issued a PolicyStreet e-Receipt for reference. Please keep this receipt for future reference.
  • Do I need to print my Registration Card?

    With PolicyStreet, you are no longer required to have the Registration Card printed.
  • What happens if my payment is rejected?

    There are a few possibilities regarding why your payment may be rejected. Depending on the situation, the problem may occur as a result of the following:
    • Credit card - Due to your credit card status. You will need to refer to your credit card bank / issuer to ensure that there are no issues with it.
    • Intermittent System Interruption - Sometimes the system is at fault due to disruption of network or the entire system. If this occurs, kindly try the payment process again.
  • Can I cancel and get a refund?

    We aim to deliver your e-Policy to you as soon as possible. Therefore, if you have received your e-Policy/e-Cover Note before you decide to cancel, we will need to do some information verification prior to processing your refund.

  • If my vehicle is stolen, do I get my full insured sum?

    Claims will be based on the present market value of the vehicle. Therefore, we recommend that your car is insured based on the current fair market value or agreed value proposed by the respective company.
  • Do you provide a replacement car while my car is in the workshop?

    Loss of Use claim only applies for third party claims. Most insurance companies do not provide replacement cars but may provide cash at their discretion for this particular claim. Knock for Knock refers to claims due to the insured vehicle owner's negligence; there will not be any replacement car in this case.
  • What is ‘Excess’?

    Excess is the amount that the insured needs to pay, normally calculated at 1% of sum insured. For example, if the sum insured is RM50,000, excess is RM500. If there is a claim of RM10,000, the insurance company will pay RM9,500 and the insured pays the difference of RM500.
  • What is No Claim Discount (NCD)?

    No Claim Discount is a discount for drivers who have not made any insurance claims during the preceding years of the insured period. If you didn’t file any claims over the years, your NCD discount will increase, however, once you make a claim, your NCD will go to 0% again and after 1 year of paying your premium to full, you start building your NCD again. The amount of NCD you may receive depends on the type of vehicle, coverage and the number of years you have not filed a claim. Normally private cars can go up to 55% of NCD.
  • What can I expect to happen once I purchase PrOmilej?

    PolicyStreet’s Customer Experience team will reach out to you to request a photo of your car’s current odometer reading and do an OTP (One-Time Password) verification on your provided mobile number.
